Here’s the step by step guide on how to Download & Install Google Camera for Samsung S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S10, S10e, S10 Plus, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 8, Note 9, Note 10, and Note 20 Ultra.

All the Galaxy S-series phones have received the Android Pie update, whether its S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S10, S10+, S10e, S20, S20 FE, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 8, Note 9, Note 10, and Note 20 Ultra. So, the Gcam Mod ported for these phones and you can easily download and install it on your smartphone. The latest GCam Port by Arnova8G2 works fine with the One UI 2.5 Updated Galaxy devices. If you face any errors in the app like crash or lag, then make sure to import the settings from a config file that you can download from the below links:

  1. At first download the config file for your device from the afore-mentioned links.
  2. Create a new folder named GCam in the root folder and then open GCam folder and make a Configs folder.
  3. Then, copy the config file in /Internal Storage/GCam/Configs/ (folder).
  4. Open Google Camera and double tap on the black blank area placed next to the shutter button.
  5. Tap on the settings shown, available in the popup & press the restore button.
  6. Go back to the app drawer and then open the app again.

Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if you’ve installed). This is not a stable version of Google Camera, so it may have some bugs. If you face any errors in the app like crash or lag, I recommend you to follow the installation process. It works only with Exynos chipset.

Download AR Core & AR Stickers

  1. First, Install AR Core app on your smartphone (Download Link).
  2. Then, Install AR Stickers app (Download Link).
  3. Close the Google Camera app.
  4. Go to settings > apps > Google Camera > Force Stop.
  5. Now open the app and start using the AR Stickers.

Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if you’ve installed). If the app hangs, clear data and cache using Samsung Smart Manager App.

  1. tried all exynos version of note 9. i got fc when opening the beta and modded version. only can open stable version. but its too over exposure even in auto mode. i already done the fix like u show and it only fix the lag in portrait mode

  2. Tried the exynos version on S9. App can be open but keep on crash, lag and the photo is overexposed. Not all mode can be used. Only the main one can be used.

    • Hey Wafi, If the app crashes on your S9, you can follow the recommended settings attached below the download section. Then, it will work fine, but not as the stable one. But, don’t worry, we will keep updating the download link, if the newer version is available.

  3. I have exynos variant of samsung galaxy note 9 running on one ui program.
    My app for google camera keep crashing as soon as it opens.
    Is there any fix for it…pls do share and help me understand.

    • Hey Rahul,

      After downloading the app, Go to the Settings > Advanced > FIX and set viewfinder format to YUV_420_888 and make sure RAW format is RAW_SENSOR.
      Apply this and close the app and force stop it once.

      Then open the app, it starts working for you.

  4. on my note 8 exynos version after i take first picture opening the app its camera lags and the pictures are blown out with white colors

    • Hey Prabhjot, You can manually enable the Portrait Mode from the app settings, if it isn’t available to you. And Go to Camera app settings > advanced > FIX > viewfinder format > YUV_420_888. And try it now, if you’re still facing any error, let me know.

  7. Hi i have downloaded for s8 ( exynos). I have followed the recommended settings also. But my pictures are over exposed with white colour and night sight is also not working. Please suggest how to fix
