Download Google Camera 7.4 for Samsung Galaxy Phones [Latest APK]

Note: This article was originally published on January 4th, 2019. Now we've updated the GCam with its latest version for Galaxy S8, S9, S10, S20 lineup phones along with Note 8/9/10 for both Snapdragon and Exynos supported devices. It also works with One UI 2.5 running phones.

Are you looking to maximize the camera output on your Samsung Galaxy Device? Here’s how to download and install Google Camera app on Samsung Galaxy S8, S9, S10 Lineup, S20 Series, along with the Note 9, Note 10, and Note 20 Lineup phones.

For the past few years, the camera is one of the biggest stand-out features of Samsung’s S-series and Note series phones. This year’s flagship, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is billing with a 108MP camera sensor, which is capable to capture mind-blazing shots. But to capture amazing shots, you also need a good camera app. Although Samsung’s stock camera app on One UI captures decent images, it is not as good as Google’s GCam app.

Fortunately, the famous Google camera app sport a slew of Samsung Galaxy devices. Thanks to the developers who have ported the app for other Android devices. And here, you can download Google Camera for Samsung Galaxy smartphone (for both Exynos & Snapdragon) variants.

Google Camera (GCam Mod Port) now available for a bunch of Samsung devices. All thanks to Arnova8G2, Urnyx05, Parrot043, and BSG who have ported the google camera APK for these Samsung Galaxy phones. Here’s the step by step guide on how to Download & Install Google Camera for Samsung S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S10, S10e, S10 Plus, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 8, Note 9, Note 10, and Note 20 Ultra.

Google Camera – Features

The Pixel 3 (XL) phones are one of the best camera smartphones of 2018, even when it comes to the only single-lens camera. Not only this, but Google still offers the same Sony IMX363 sensor in its newer Pixel 4a. But every Google smartphone capture very impressive images. Google made this possible with some software implementations, which uses Artificial Intelligence to make pictures more realistic. Talking about the features aka highlights then, the GCam’s Night Sight Mode and Astrophotography Mode are its highlights. Download Google Camera for Samsung Galaxy (Snapdragon)

All the Galaxy S-series phones have received the Android Pie update, whether its S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S10, S10+, S10e, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 8, Note 9, and Note 10. So, the Gcam Mod ported for these phones and you can easily download and install it on your smartphone. The latest GCam Port by Arnova8G2 works fine with the One UI 2.5 Updated Galaxy devices. Download the app accordingly for your phone:

If you face any errors in the app like crash or lag, then make sure to import the settings from a config file that you can download from the below links:

  1. At first download the config file for your device from the afore-mentioned links.
  2. Create a new folder named GCam in the root folder and then open GCam folder and make a Configs folder.
  3. Then, copy the config file in /Internal Storage/GCam/Configs/ (folder).
  4. Open Google Camera and double tap on the black blank area placed next to the shutter button.
  5. Tap on the settings shown, available in the popup & press the restore button.
  6. Go back to the app drawer and then open the app again.

If you’re Exynos variant user, then you may have already received the One UI based on Android Pie 9.0 or Android 10 update on your S8, S8 Plus, S9, S9 Plus, S10, S10+, S10e, S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Note 8, Note 9, and Note 10.  So, You can also taste the Gcam Mod and capture some amazing shots from your smartphone’s camera. Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if you’ve installed). This is not a stable version of Google Camera, so it may have some bugs. If you face any errors in the app like crash or lag, I recommend you to follow the installation process. It works only with Exynos chipset.

Download AR Core & AR Stickers

  1. First, Install AR Core app on your smartphone (Download Link).
  2. Then, Install AR Stickers app (Download Link).
  3. Close the Google Camera app.
  4. Go to settings > apps > Google Camera > Force Stop.
  5. Now open the app and start using the AR Stickers.

Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if you’ve installed). If the app hangs, clear data and cache using Samsung Smart Manager App.

How to Install Google Camera on Samsung Galaxy Phones (S8, S9, S8+, S9+, S10, S20, Note 8/9 & Note 10/20)

  1. At first, download the app accordingly for your smartphone (from the links available in the download section).
  2. Once done, install the google camera APK. (You can also find the downloaded app in file explorer).Google Camera APK
  3. That’s it. Open the app & grant the needed permissions like Camera, Microphone, Storage, and Location.

  1. tried all exynos version of note 9. i got fc when opening the beta and modded version. only can open stable version. but its too over exposure even in auto mode. i already done the fix like u show and it only fix the lag in portrait mode

  2. Tried the exynos version on S9. App can be open but keep on crash, lag and the photo is overexposed. Not all mode can be used. Only the main one can be used.

    • Hey Wafi, If the app crashes on your S9, you can follow the recommended settings attached below the download section. Then, it will work fine, but not as the stable one. But, don’t worry, we will keep updating the download link, if the newer version is available.

  3. I have exynos variant of samsung galaxy note 9 running on one ui program.
    My app for google camera keep crashing as soon as it opens.
    Is there any fix for it…pls do share and help me understand.

    • Hey Rahul,

      After downloading the app, Go to the Settings > Advanced > FIX and set viewfinder format to YUV_420_888 and make sure RAW format is RAW_SENSOR.
      Apply this and close the app and force stop it once.

      Then open the app, it starts working for you.

  4. on my note 8 exynos version after i take first picture opening the app its camera lags and the pictures are blown out with white colors

      We have attached the recommended settings, you can simply follow the instructions and then force stop the app and launch it again. It starts working fine.

  5. Only able to record simple videos and use auto mode camera. Portrait mode and night sight not working. Using note 8 running on android pie. Thanks.

    • Hey Prabhjot, You can manually enable the Portrait Mode from the app settings, if it isn’t available to you. And Go to Camera app settings > advanced > FIX > viewfinder format > YUV_420_888. And try it now, if you’re still facing any error, let me know.

  7. Hi i have downloaded for s8 ( exynos). I have followed the recommended settings also. But my pictures are over exposed with white colour and night sight is also not working. Please suggest how to fix
