One of the primary reasons behind the great results from GCam is Google’s computational photography features. Back to the GCam 7.4, then, the APK teardown shows that Google’s testing it on the upcoming Pixel 4a (and maybe on the next-gen Pixel 5 series phones as well). The official app is already available for the Pixel phones, while non-pixel phone users can download the Pixel Camera (aka Google Camera 7.4 Mod port) to get access to the new features.

In terms of features, then it also features all the essential features of GCam 7.3 like Night Sight and Astrophotography Mode. While the newer GCam 7.4 from Pixel 4a bumped up the user interface in the video recording section with 4K video recording and FPS toggle for the first time in GCam. Though, the frame rate option is only available for FHD resolution. By default, it records 4K videos at 30fps. Other than that, now users can zoom in up to 8X while recording videos. If you want to get access to these features, then you can download the Google Camera 7.4 Mod Port from the next-section.
