Apple has released the second beta of iOS 27 to developers, exactly two weeks after the first developer beta rollout. Apple has already confirmed that the iOS 27 public beta will arrive in July, which means public beta testers could gain access starting with iOS 27 beta 3 or a similar build.
If you’re not aware, iOS 27 supports the same lineup of devices that were eligible for iOS 26. This means that users with iPhone 11 and newer models can install the iOS 27 beta. The iOS 27 Beta 2 update carries build number 24A5370h, and the OTA package is around 2GB on my iPhone 13, although the exact download size can vary depending on the device model and software version being updated from.

Along with the iOS 27 Beta 2, Apple also released a few other updates, including iPadOS 27 Beta 2, tvOS 27 Beta 2, macOS Golden Gate 27 Beta 2, and visionOS 27 Beta 2. The watchOS 27 Beta 2 is not available yet.
The first iOS 27 Beta was introduced shortly after the WWDC keynote, and it introduced a range of new features and major visual improvements in the liquid glass design. While iOS 27 Beta 2 also includes new changes, fixes, and improvements, it is not as significant as the first beta.
The first noticeable change in iOS 27 Beta 2 is improved overall smoothness and performance compared to Beta 1. iOS 27 Beta 2 also introduces several Siri-related improvements. These include faster response times, updated Siri AI interface, new Siri settings, new shortcut controls, and the ability to use Ask Siri in specific apps, and more.
Other notable changes include the return of End-to-End Encryption Beta settings (it was removed in Beta 1), Online payment cards with Apple Pay now show more information while making payments, and more. In addition to these changes, iOS 27 Beta 2 includes various bug fixes, stability improvements, and a new modem update.
If you own an eligible iPhone, you can install the second developer beta of iOS 27. You can check for the update in Settings > General > Software Update. If you haven’t applied for beta, you can do so on the Beta Updates page under Software Update settings.
However, for general users, it’s advisable to wait for a few more beta builds and let it achieve stability, especially if you mind bugs. If you’re switching from iOS 26 to iOS 27, it’s recommended to back up important data.
