Apple has officially announced the next generation of software updates for its devices, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, macOS 27, and visionOS 27 at the WWDC event. In this article, we’ll focus on the list of devices compatible with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27. If you own an iPhone or iPad, check the list below to see whether your device is eligible for the next iOS or iPadOS upgrade.
Last year, Apple introduced the Liquid Glass design language with iOS 26. With iOS 27 the company is continuing to build on the same design language with further performance improvements, refinements and polish. The iOS 27 does not bring the kind of dramatic visual overhaul that arrived with iOS 26, but it does enhance and refine the overall experience.
Apple has also announced several new features for iOS 27, with additional capabilities expected to arrive through future iOS 27 updates later this year and into next year. However, you’ll only be able to enjoy these new features if your device is eligible for the update.

The iOS 27 will be available today as a developer beta for developers and enthusiasts who want to test the new major OS update before its official release. Since this is the initial phase of the iOS 27 journey, the first developer beta will have a limited number of changes and features. Apple will gradually add more features with subsequent beta updates.
If you want to test iOS 27, you can easily select the Developer Beta option in Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. However, please note that this is an early beta release, so it may contain bugs. If you prefer a more stable experience in beta, you can wait for the public beta release.
