Samsung’s next flagship lineup is already making rounds in the rumor mill. Following recent reports about the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro, the standard Galaxy S27 has now appeared in its first official listing. The device was recently spotted in the GSMA IMEI database. This is the first appearance of any Galaxy S27 series member on an official platform.
The listing reveals the model number of the Galaxy S27 as SM-S952U. The “U” suffix indicates that this particular entry belongs to the US variant, while other regions will carry different suffixes. Although the listing does not reveal any specifications, it confirms that the Galaxy S27 is real and that Samsung has already begun registering the device as part of its development process.
Now that the Galaxy S27 has appeared in first listing, it is expected to appear on additional certification and benchmarking platforms in the coming months, including Geekbench. This means more information about the device will be revealed through these listings and rumors.

Compared to last year, the Galaxy S27 has surfaced earlier in the development cycle. While this does not confirm that Samsung will launch it before the previous timeline, it gives a slight hope that it might happen and if this happens, interested users may have to wait less than expected.
The remaining members of the lineup, including the Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra, are also expected to appear in listings over the coming weeks. The listing may also finally confirm the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro soon.
Speaking of rumors, reports have claimed that the Galaxy S27 could be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2700 chipset. There have also been rumors that Samsung may source the display panel from BOE rather than using one of its own panels.
For now, details about the Galaxy S27 remain limited, which is not surprising at all given that the launch is still several months away.
