Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) appears in new black dummy leak

Summarize This Article:

Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy foldables are expected to launch later this month, and a steady stream of leaks has already revealed many details about the upcoming lineup. This year, Samsung is rumored to unveil three foldable devices, including a new wide-format foldable that is rumored to launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the successor to the current Fold model is expected to be rebranded as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

In addition to previously leaked CAD renders and several dummy units of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, another batch of dummy models has now surfaced online, this time showcasing the device in a black finish, which is rumored to be called Graphite. The latest dummy units leak by Jamonline offers a closer look at the device and further supports the design details revealed in earlier leaks.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 looks cool in the dark Graphite finish and could appear even more premium in person. Apart from the wider design, the device retains Samsung’s familiar foldable design language, including flat sides, minimal rear panel design, a vertically aligned rear camera module, and overall premium design.

Apple is also rumored to launch its foldable iPhone later this year, which will have a similar form factor to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 (wide). It’s no coincidence that Samsung is also introducing a new format the same year.

Other details about the Galaxy Z Fold 8 include a 7.6-inch inner display in 4:3 aspect ratio, a 5.4-inch cover display, a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 4800mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

The flagship Fold 8 wide will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It will be launched alongside the other two foldable devices at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is expected to take place on July 22.
