iPhone 18 Pro Max Leak Details Massive Battery Capacity

Summarize This Article:

Apple is gearing up to launch the iPhone 18 Pro models in September at its annual Fall event. We already know various things about the upcoming Pro iPhones, including four color options, real-life images, and information disclosed through a recent Tata Electronics leak. The battery capacity of the iPhone 18 Pro Max has now surfaced online as the latest addition to the growing pool of pre-launch information.

The latest leak comes courtesy of @fireuniverse8 handle on X (formerly Twitter); strangely, the post isn’t available now. As per the details shared by the account, the battery capacities of both the eSIM model and the physical SIM model have been shared.

Much like the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the eSIM model of the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a larger battery. Specifically, the eSIM variant is set to pack a 5,425mAh battery, while the physical SIM variant will feature a slightly smaller 5,235mAh cell. Both figures point to the largest battery ever seen on an iPhone.

To put these numbers into perspective, last year’s iPhone 17 Pro Max launched with a 5,088mAh battery on the eSIM variant and a 4,823mAh cell on the physical SIM model. That translates to a substantial increase of 412mAh for the physical SIM variant and an additional 337mAh for the eSIM model.

If these numbers prove accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro Max will pack a larger battery than the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 5,000mAh battery capacity and Pixel 10 Pro XL with a 5,200mAh capacity.

Regarding other specs, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to come with the A20 Pro Bionic chip and the latest C2 model. Apart from that, the Dynamic Island on iPhone 18 Pro phones could be shrunk by 25%.

The upcoming phones will launch at Apple’s annual fall event in September. This year, the company is expected to launch its first-ever foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro phones.
