After the launch of the Galaxy S26 series and the Galaxy A57, Samsung is shifting its focus to its next major product release: the company’s next-generation foldable devices. This year, Samsung plans to launch three foldables instead of its usual two, with the third aimed at competing against Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, which is also expected to launch this year.
A new rumor now reveals more details about the event where Samsung will showcase the next-generation foldable phones.
Galaxy Unpacked Event to be Held in July 2026
According to Korea Economic TV reporter Kim Dae-yeon, Samsung has finalized the location for its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and rumored Galaxy Z Fold Wide. The timing of the event remains the same, with the company planning to host the Unpacked 2026 in July this year.
The location, however, is where things get interesting. Samsung has traditionally held its Unpacked events in South Korea or the US, but this time around, they are planning to host the event in London. The event is expected to take place on July 22.
The Galaxy Z Fold Wide is rumored to feature a wider 4:3 aspect ratio display, S Pen support, a 0.5mm slimmer than Apple’s foldable iPhone, and a new OLED display with no visible crease. Talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the device is expected to feature a bigger battery and support faster charging compared to its predecessor.
