Shortly after releasing the One UI 8.5 rollout for the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy A56, Samsung has extended the update to the Galaxy A36, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. The update will be expanded to international markets and Canada by May 23, with the update bags a slew of new features and enhancements.

According to details shared by Samsung enthusiasts, including Tarun Vats, the update is rolling out through the stable channel. It will be available to everyone in a matter of time. The update is rolling out to the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy Z Flip / Fold 5 with following software versions:

  • Galaxy A36: A366NKSU6CZDA
  • Galaxy S23 FE: S711NKSUEEZDT
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5: F731NKSU6GZDU
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5: F946NKSU6GZDT

As it is a major release, the update weighs a whopping 2.5GB of download size on the Galaxy A36. The update will bump up the monthly security patch version to May 2026.

One UI 8.5 is a big upgrade for Galaxy devices; Samsung has pushed some of the best AI features from the Galaxy S26 series to older models. A selection of these features is also anticipated to be available for older devices.
