Samsung is expected to unveil its eighth-generation foldables at the upcoming Unpacked event, likely around its usual launch window. Recently, more details about the clamshell Galaxy Z Flip 8 have surfaced, revealing some notable changes coming to the device.
While we’ve already seen several leaks and rumors about the Galaxy Z Flip 8 over the past few months, more accurate information are expected to surface as the launch approaches. A new report from the Naver blog reports that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could bring some major changes that many may not have expected.
According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will feature a new hinge design and a crease-free display. This is a major upgrade, as hinge is an important part of foldable devices, and it will be more reliable than its predecessor.

The source also mentioned that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be 8 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Flip 7, despite being slightly larger. Yes, it is said to be a bit longer which has also been confirmed by some other leaks.
The battery and charging speed of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will remain the same as the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with a 4300mAh battery and 25W wired charging.
This year, Samsung is expected to launch three foldable smartphones at the Unpacked event, including the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. As for pricing, today’s report mentioned that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could see a slight price increase, which has also been claimed in previous leaks.
