The official One UI 8.5 update for Galaxy S24 users has now reached the US. The rollout initially began earlier this week in Korea, and it has finally started expanding to users in the United States. The update is also expected to arrive in more regions soon.
According to a report from Sammobile, the update was first spotted on carrier-locked models, including Verizon variants. It is expected to expand to other carrier-locked devices as well as unlocked models in the coming days.
The stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S24 series carries build number DZDR. Since this is a major software update, the update size is over 3GB across all three models. It’s recommended to download the update over WiFi.
One UI 8.5 is a big update that brings several new features and improvements, enhancing the overall One UI experience. In this update, you will find several UI changes, improved animations, smoother navigation, new Galaxy AI features, more customization tools, improved camera, and much more. If you own a Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, or Galaxy S24 Ultra in the US, you can now update to the highly anticipated One UI 8.5 update. If you’re on a different carrier, the update may take some time to become available.
You can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Before you install the update, ensure you back up important data just in case. Also, do not install the update if your device’s temperature is high.
