Android 17 Beta 3 now available for Realme GT 8 Pro

Summarize This Article:

In March, Realme announced the Android 17 developer preview program for the Realme GT 8 Pro, based on Android 17 Beta 2. Today, the company has released the incremental third beta for its latest high-end smartphone – the Realme GT 8 Pro. We expect to bring plenty of new changes, enhancements, and fixes.

As always, the Realme Community Official moderator shared this story on the company’s community forum. As per the details, the Android 17 Beta 3 for Realme GT 8 Pro is meant for the Indian variant. Please don’t try installing it on the global variant.

Additionally, Android 17 is still in its early stages of development and might not represent a stable enough user experience, meaning you may face bugs and issues while using the update. If you have never flashed a phone before, it is strongly advisable to wait for the open beta or stable release to avoid bricking your device.

Despite being an incremental update, the third Android 17 beta for the Realme GT 8 Pro still carries a number of known issues that are yet to be addressed. Check out the complete list of known issues.

  • All user data will be erased during the upgrade.
  • Bluetooth usage issue. (Recovery Path: Settings – Apps – App management – The three dots in the upper right corner – Show system – Bluetooth – Data usage)
  • Display abnormalities, lag, etc. may occur in some system apps and settings under certain scenarios.
  • Certain system applications and settings may encounter issues, such as no response, unusable, malfunctions, crashes, etc.
  • Display abnormalities, usage issues, etc. may occur on the camera in certain scenarios.
  • Some 3rd-party compatibility issues.

Please ensure that your Realme GT 8 Pro is running on this Android 16 build: RMX5210_16.0.5.701(EX01). If it’s on an older build, please update your phone to the newest available Android 16 stable version. Before updating your device, make sure to charge it to at least 30%, and 4GB of free storage is required.
