As per the details shared by Tarun Vats, the update for the Galaxy S23 series is rolling out with the S918NKSU7FZDT build number. While the Galaxy A56 picks up the new software update with A566SKSU6CZDR firmware version. As it is a major release, the update is expected to come in a size of around 4GB on the Galaxy S23 lineup. The update will bump up the monthly security patch version to May 2026.

Now, whether you own the Galaxy S23 series device or the Galaxy A56, you can check for the One UI 8.5 update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Before installing the new update, always back up important data and ensure to install the update in a cool temperature.

If the One UI 8.5 update hasn’t arrived on your device, you’ll need to wait for its OTA update, as it is rolling out in batches.
