Samsung rolls out One UI 6.1 Update for Galaxy Tab S8 in the US

In the world of Samsung Galaxy devices, One UI 6.1 is currently the talk of the town. The South Korean tech giant has already released the update for the Galaxy S23 series, S22, S21, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Gen Foldables, and Tab S9 series.

The company is now rolling out the Galaxy AI-based One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S8 Series. Yes, it goes live for all three models in the lineup – the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and Tab S8 Ultra.

For the time being, the update is available for Wi-Fi-only variants, with the software upgrade seeding with the X700XXU6CXE2 firmware version. In terms of availability, currently, it is available to users across Europe and also in the US. A wider rollout should commence in the next few days.

Moving to the features list, then the One UI 6.1 update bags many useful AI features and other features. It includes Circle to Search, Live call translation, Generative AI Wallpapers, in-person translation, translation from pictures and documents, summarize webpages, transcript lectures and voice recordings, assistant with writing, AI Photo editing tools, and many other features.

If you own a Galaxy Tab S8 and reside in Europe or the US, then you may have already received the update on your device. If not, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Remember to back up your important data before installing the update. No, the update will not erase your data, but take a backup just in case. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
