How to Get Generative AI Wallpapers Feature on any Android Device

Generative AI Wallpapers are fun, the feature first made its appearance on the Pixel 8 series with Android 14. It was initially showcased last year at Google I/O 23 and later introduced with the Pixel 8 phones. Later, other smartphone OEMs adopted the tech and we saw the feature in action on the Galaxy S24 and a few more phones.

Google stated that the feature is coming first to Pixel 8/8 Pro. To date, it is limited to the newer models. However, I’ve got a good piece of news for other Pixel device owners. We’ve discovered a simple workaround that you can use on your Android 14 smartphone to use the Generative AI wallpapers feature.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get Generative AI wallpapers functionality on any Android 14 smartphone.

If your Pixel smartphone is running on a Dec 2023 update or newer version, then you can easily set up Generative AI wallpapers on your device. All you need to do is, install the official AI wallpapers app from Pixel 8 on your device and start generating cool wallpapers.

If you own a non-Pixel smartphone running on Android 14, then you need to do a few more steps to get things done on your device.

Let’s take a look at both methods.
