Early this week, Samsung unveiled its newest flagship Galaxy S24 lineup. The new S24 series phones come with One UI 6.1 out-of-the-box. Following the previous year’s trend, Samsung released new phones with incremental One UI upgrades, dubbed, 6.1 version number.
One UI 6.1 on the Galaxy S24 series packs a big list of useful features including new lock screen widgets, support to add new fonts, better animations, support to extend wallpapers, battery protection feature, background for Alarms, use the phone as a webcam, a bunch of AI features, and many more.
Yes, the Galaxy AI features were introduced with One UI 6.1, however, these features are coming only to select Galaxy devices. Samsung already confirmed this, you can check the Galaxy AI features eligible devices.
Now talking about the One UI 6.1 eligible devices, then the update is expected to be released to all devices running on the One UI 6.0 update. If Android 14 is the last major software upgrade for your smartphone, you can still expect it to get the One UI 6.1 update.
