One UI 6.1 Update Goes Global for Samsung Galaxy S22 Series

Last week, Samsung officially kicked off the Galaxy AI-centric One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22 series in mainland South Korea. However, the company halted the rollout amid booting issues concerns. Today, the tech titan has re-released the update, expanding its availability to European countries as well.

Samsung is pushing the software upgrade to the European region with the S908BXXU9EXE1 build number. According to reports shared by S22 users across Europe, the update is now live in Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

When we dive into the details, the update includes the April 2024 monthly security patch and has a download size of approximately 3GB. At the time of writing, the update is in a rolling phase; a broader rollout to commence in a matter of time.

Galaxy AI-based One UI 6.1 update bags numerous features and finally the Galaxy S22 users can try out the new AI features like Circle to Search, Live Translate, Web page summary, Generative Wallpaper, Chat Assist, and more. Explore the complete list of One UI 6.1 features here.

If you own the Galaxy S22 and reside in Europe, then you may have already received the update on your device. If not you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Remember to back up your important data before installing the update. No, the update will not erase your data, but take a backup just in case. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
