Just a few days ago, Samsung started pushing its newest One UI 3.1 skin update to the mid-range phones. The latest One UI 3.1 based Android 11 update landed on the phones such as Galaxy A50, Galaxy A71, and the Galaxy M51. Now the company starts seeding it to the Galaxy A50s. For the time being, the Galaxy A50s One UI 3.1 (based Android 11) update is seeding in the Vietnam. The latest build comes with A507FNXXU5DUB6 software version number. We can expect the wider rollout in the coming days. It’s the second major OS update for the Galaxy A50s. The OTA may require a chunk of data for upgrading the smartphone to the Android 11 update, I suggest you to sideload the update after connecting your smartphone to the Wi-Fi Network.
In terms of features, then the update carries the March 2021 monthly security patch along with the new features. Talking of the features, then the One UI 3.1 bumps up the Galaxy A50s with features like Private Share, Nearby Share, Samsung Free, Eye Comfort Shield, Remove location data, Auto Switch feature, along with a few other features.
It also carries the basics of Android 11 such as dedicated conversation section in the notification section, new music player UI for quick settings, and more. As for now, the update changelog is not available to us, we’ll add it once available.
Samsung Galaxy A50s One UI 3.1 (Android 11) Update
Samsung Galaxy A50s is now receiving the new update, the update is rolling in a staged-manner which might take some time to reach every phone. You can check the software updates manually as there are some times when OTA notification doesn’t arrive. You can head over to the Settings > Software Updates for manually checking the latest updates. It will show the available update so tap on download and install to get it on your phone.
If you’re in a haste, then you can update your device manually using Firmware. You can download Galaxy Fold Firmware from Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
