Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 update to entry-level F-series and M-series smartphones, alongside several mid-range models from previous years. The list of phones includes the Galaxy F16, F17, F55, F56, M16, M17, M35, M54, and M55s. If you own any of these phones, you can now update your Galaxy smartphone to One UI 8.5.
At the time of writing, the update is still in its rollout phase, with a broader release expected soon. India is among the first markets where the brand has started rolling out the update. The global rollout is expected to follow later this month. According to details shared by Tarun Vats and Mohammed Khatri, these Galaxy devices are receiving the One UI 8.5 update with the following build numbers:

- Galaxy F55: E556BXXU5DZE3
- Galaxy F56: E566BXXU5CZE2
- Galaxy M16: M166PXXU5DZE2

Moving to the features, the One UI 8.5 update brings visual improvements, smoother animations, updated stock apps, and new and updated Galaxy AI features if your device is eligible. The availability of these features may vary depending on the model and region.
Now, if you own any of the above-listed Galaxy M-series or F-series phones, you can check for the One UI 8.5 update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Before installing the new update, always back up important data and ensure to install the update in a cool temperature.
If the One UI 8.5 update hasn’t arrived on your device, you’ll need to wait for its OTA update, as it is rolling out in batches.
