Samsung begins internal One UI 9 testing for Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

Summarize This Article:

Samsung began expanding internal development of One UI 9 a few weeks ago, and since then, test firmware has surfaced for several Galaxy smartphones. A newly spotted test build now suggests that Samsung has also started internal testing of One UI 9 for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. It’s worth noting that this is an internal beta build and is not available to the public.

The appearance of this test firmware indicates that Samsung has officially begun working on the next major update for the flagship tablet, bringing the device one step closer to the official release. Earlier, One UI 9 test builds had already been spotted for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, along with some other Galaxy models.

The One UI 9 test build for the Galaxy S10 Ultra was spotted on Samsung servers with build number X926BXXU8EZF2 and a June security patch. Credit goes to Gabriel2392 for finding the test build.

The One UI 9 is the next major release for Galaxy devices and will be based on Android 17. Since the upcoming release is already available as a public beta for the Galaxy S26 series, some of its features and changes are already known.

With the One UI 9 update, you can expect Quick Panel customization improvements, text spotlight, stronger app security, and more adaptive clock styles. You can check out all the features here.

The Android 17-based One UI 9 will be the third major update for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. It was initially released with One UI 6 and later received Android 15-based One UI 7 and Android 16-based One UI 8 updates.

Talking about the One UI 9 public beta, it’s unlikely that the tablet will receive one. Instead, Samsung is expected to release the official update directly. This approach is better for the public because the update will arrive on time, as public beta releases can potentially delay the official update release.
