The first One UI 9 beta test build for the Galaxy S26 FE has reportedly been spotted on Samsung’s servers. This suggests that the Galaxy S26 FE could launch with Android 17 and One UI 9 out of the box. It also indicates that Samsung may be planning to launch the device only after One UI 9 is ready, at least for new devices.

According to the source, Tarun Vats, the first One UI 9 test build for the Galaxy S26 FE carries build number S741NKSU0AZE5. The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to come with the model number SM-S741N in Korea.
The Galaxy S26 FE’s predecessor launched in September last year, and the upcoming Fan Edition model is also expected to launch sometime in Q3. By then, One UI 9 should be ready to debut on at least Samsung’s newer devices.
The official version of One UI 9 is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, and Flip 8 at the upcoming Unpacked event on July 22. This also suggests that the Galaxy S26 FE is unlikely to launch before these foldable devices.
Talking about the specifications details, the Galaxy S26 FE is rumored to come with the Exynos 2500 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM. At the moment, very limited information about the Galaxy S26 FE has surfaced, which is another clue that it will not launch anytime soon and may take several months.
