The next Galaxy Unpacked event is fast approaching, with less than two months remaining until Samsung unveils its new foldable lineup. This year, the company is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. A new leak has now shown all three devices side by side, giving us a clearer look at how their designs compare.
If you’ve been following recent Galaxy foldable rumors, you’ll likely know that Samsung is reportedly preparing a major change to its Fold lineup. The company is expected to introduce a new wide-format foldable while continuing to offer its traditional Fold design under the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra branding.
Recently, tipster Ice Universe shared an image featuring the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 next to each other. The leak highlights the different aspect ratios of all three devices and provides one of the best visual comparisons we’ve seen so far.
On the left is the Galaxy Z Flip 8, which appears to feature a larger cover display while retaining the familiar camera placement. Positioned in the center is the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Samsung’s rumored new wide-format foldable. Although it carries the standard Fold branding, it represents a completely different aspect ratio and size.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be shorter and wider than the traditional Fold design. It is expected to come in 4:3 aspect ratio. The inner display is said to be 7.6-inch, while the outer display is expected to be 5.4-inch.
On the right side is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which will be the successor to Galaxy Z Fold 7, and this is the standard foldable Samsung has been releasing since the beginning. Compared to the new Wide foldable, it has a taller and narrower form factor. We may not see much of a design change on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) is expected to compete directly with Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone Ultra, which is also said to adopt a similar wide-screen aspect ratio. We have gathered all the rumored specifications of the upcoming foldable that you can check out below.
