Samsung has now expanded the One UI 8.5 Beta to a number of devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6, and even some FE models. The company has now added two more devices to the list. Galaxy A55 and Galaxy S23 FE have started receiving the One UI 8.5 Beta update.
Samsung typically limits its beta programs to a smaller number of devices, but with One UI 8.5 Beta, the company has expanded the rollout more than usual. Even FE models, which don’t get any Beta, have been included this time. These include Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy S24 FE, and Galaxy S23 FE.
However, while Samsung is making the beta available to more devices, it has also delayed the stable One UI 8.5 release, which is now expected to roll out on April 30 for the Galaxy S25 series.
The One UI 8.5 Beta for the Galaxy S23 FE is available with build version ZZD5 and weighs around 4GB. The build version for the Galaxy A55 (Galaxy Quantum 5) is not known yet, but it’s expected to be similar in size.

The One UI 8.5 Beta program for the Galaxy A55 is currently live in Korea, while the beta for the Galaxy S23 FE is live in India. The first beta update for both models brings the latest April security patch along with major new features and improvements.
With the release of One UI 8.5 Beta, you’ll have access to a range of exciting features. These include a fully customizable Quick Panel, four new connectivity features, new privacy protection features, notifications summaries, and AI-powered features such as Photo Assist, Smarter device control, Meeting Assist, Smart Clipboard, and more.
If you own a Galaxy A55 or Galaxy S23 FE in the mentioned regions, you can register for the One UI 8.5 Beta program to experience it before its official release. To do this, open the Samsung Members app and look for the Beta program notice. Simply register by accepting the beta policy, and your device will receive the beta update immediately.
If you haven’t registered for the One UI beta program before, follow this guide to register for the beta program. Remember to back up your device before installing any new updates.
