Following the announcement of the One UI 8.5 beta program for previous-generation flagship devices, foldables, and select mid-range smartphones, Samsung has now expanded the program’s availability to its older A-series lineup. Today, the company has kicked off the beta testing of One UI 8.5 for Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55 in India.
Samsung Enthusiast Tarun Vats has confirmed that the beta program goes live for both A-series phones in India. As per the details shared by the tipster, the update reaches the A54 with A546EXXUJZZD5 firmware version. Samsung already released the beta for A55 (Quantum 5) in its home country, South Korea, and now it’s time for India.
For A55 users in India, the update is rolling out with A556EXXUEZZD5 build number. As it is a big upgrade, it weighs a whopping 2.7GB of download size. The update will bump up the monthly security patch version to April 2026.
Talking about the features, then One UI 8.5 comes with several new features, like a fully customizable Quick Panel, four new connectivity features, new privacy protection features, notifications summaries, and AI-powered features such as Photo Assist, Smarter device control, Meeting Assist, Smart Clipboard, and more.
