Moto One Action powered with Samsung Exynos 9609 processor with integrated Mali G72 MP3 GPU. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Coming to the camera section, it has a triple camera setup at the back. The rear setup includes 16-megapixel (Action camera) ultra-wide sensor, 12-megapixel primary sensor, and 5-megapixel depth sensor. It also supports slow-motion recording, which is a plus point. How to Root Motorola One Action

Prerequisites
- Make sure the Motorola One Action bootloader is unlocked (Guide)
- Take a full backup of your phone
- Magisk Zip and Magisk Manager APK (Download from here)
- Install ADB & Fastboot driver on your PC (Follow this guide)
Download TWRP Recovery for Motorola One Action
Rooting Moto One Action requires TWRP Recovery, either temporarily boot into TWRP or permanently install it. All thanks to the ilia3367 & yuri-2016 for their hard work to port the TWRP Recovery for Moto One Vision and Tuandroidaldia for Moto One Action. Use the below link to download the TWRP Recovery.
Download the TWRP Recovery, and then you can proceed to its installation. Even though if you don’t want to install TWRP recovery, you have to follow the step and stop when you see the specific step used for installation. You will also need Magisk Zip if you want to root your Motorola One Action. Not just for rooting, TWRP is also useful for other tasks, like installing Custom ROMs, Custom Kernel, and more.

How to Install TWRP Recovery on Motorola One Action
Step 1) Transfer Magisk Zip file to phone external storage (external SD card required) and TWRP file to your computer.
Step 2) You will also need the Stock Firmware for your device from here. The location also matters so download the right firmware.
Step 3) Now extract the TWRP zip file on the location C:\adb and Firmware on any location you want. You can use any extractor apps like Winzip, 7Zip.
Step 4) Go to C:\adb and copy KANE_flash_stock.bat & vbmeta.img and paste both the files inside the firmware folder (folder extracted from Firmware).
Step 5) If your firmware has 10 system.img_sparsechunk (generally, it is 9), then Right-click on KANE_flash_stock.bat and select edit. Add one line as mentioned in the following image.
Step 6) Go back to the location C:\adb and copy Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip, MagiskManager-v7.3.4.apk, Magisk-v19.4.zip, TWRP-3.3.1_Installer_One_Vision.zip to the External SD card.
Step 7) Now you need to boot your phone into Bootloader Mode and connect your phone to Computer.
Step 8) Run the KANE_flash_stock.bat (from the Firmware folder) and wait for the phone to Reboot into bootloader 2-3 times.
Step 9) Now go the C:\adb location and press Shift + Right click on an empty area and select ‘Open Command Window here’ or ‘Open PowerShell window here’.
Step 10) Now enter the below commands one by one

fastboot boot TWRP-3.3.1_Motorola_One_Vision.img
Step 11) Now the phone will boot into TWRP Recovery, so here you need to check the box and swipe to allow modification. In the TWRP home window, click on Settings (third option on the right lane) and then go to the globe icon. Set the language of your preference and click the grey button to apply.
Step 12) Now if you want to install the TWRP Recovery then follow the below the next step. And if you do not wish to install, then skip to the Steps to Root section.
Step 13) In TWRP home, click on Install and locate the TWRP-3.3.1_Installer_Motorola_One_Vision.zip (This will be in your SD card). Swipe the slider to flash it. Don’t reboot your phone yet, follow the next section now.
Steps to Root Motorola One Action
Step 1) In TWRP home, click on Wipe > Format Data, enter yes to format all data.
Step 2) After format, go back to TWRP home and now go to Reboot > Recovery. If you have not installed the TWRP Recovery (Step 13) then you need to reboot to recovery using the command in step 10 of the last section.
Step 3) Now click on Install, then browse Magisk-v19.4.zipย and flash it. Similarly, flash the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip. Now reboot your phone to bootloader (Reboot > Bootloader).
Step 4) Open the command window at the same location (c:\adb) and enter the below command

fastboot flash vbmeta_a vbmeta_patch.img
Step 5) Now restart your device with the Power button (long press). It will take time, so wait for the complete Reboot. After reaching to the setup screen for the first time, it will reboot again.
Step 6) Again, it will reach to the setup screen, now set up your device.
Step 7) Install the Magisk Manager app that you copied on your external SD card. Skip this step if Magisk Manager is already installed.
Step 8) Done, your Motorola One Action is now rooted successfully.
Finally, you have the Motorola One Action with root access. If you choose to install TWRP Recovery, then you have both TWRP and Root access. Now you can easily take full backup directly from TWRP Recovery or Titanium App. Although bloatware are not in Stock ROM, you can remove any app that you don’t like.
