Vbmeta Image:
After downloading all the files for your phone keep it in one place for convenience. ROM is common for all the listed Nokia phones but other images files are different so download carefully for your phone. Make sure to follow the requirements before moving to the steps.
Prerequisites:
- Take a full backup of your phone
- TWRP or a custom recovery should be installed
- Vbmeta is required for Nokia 6.2 & Nokia 7.2
- GApps is included in the ROM so no need to install it
- Install ADB & Fastboot driver on your PC
How to Install Oxygen OS ROM on Nokia Phones
- After backing up the data power off your phone device.
- Connect your device to your computer with a USB cable.
- Press & hold Volume Up + Power button together.
- Release both buttons when you see the TWRP logo.
- Once the device in TWRP, go to Wipe > Format Data and enter ‘Yes’.
- Then go to Reboot > Bootloader.
- Again boot into TWRP and go to Wipe > Advance Wipe, select everything and wipe.
- Connect your phone to PC when it is in TWRP Recovery and copy Oxygen OS ROM, boot image, vendor image, and vbmeta image (for Nokia 7.2 & 6.2).
- Now in TWRP Recovery go to Install > Install Image and select ROM, Boot Image, and vendor Image.
- Flash all the three images on your phone.
- Go to Wipe > Advance Wipe again and select everything except System & Vendor.
- Except for Nokia 6.2 & 7.2 reboot your phone to the system (Reboot > System), that’s all. For Nokia 6.2 & 7.2 follow further steps. No need to follow further steps for other phones.
- Go to Reboot > Bootloader and connect your phone to PC. Copy the vbmeta.img file to your PC (C:\adb).
- Go to C:\adb and press Shift + Right click on an empty area and select ‘Open Command window here’ or ‘Open PowerShell window here’.
- In the command window enter

fastboot getvar all

- Now you will get the A or B, which is the active partition. Remember it is A or B. If it is A then enter the first command or enter the second command if it is B

fastboot flash vbmeta_a --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img

fastboot flash vbmeta_b --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img

- Now reboot your phone to the system using below command

fastboot reboot
