OnePlus starts rolling the stable Android 10 update to OnePlus 6 & OnePlus 6T phones. This is an OxygenOS 10 update based on latest Android 10 with many new features. OnePlus 6 & 6T are last year’s flagship smartphones by OnePlus. It is an OTA update and rolling out in batches so it may be possible that some users may not have got the Android 10 update. The Android 10 update OTA zip is now available for download. You can download the zip file if you are planning to install the update manually. We have added the flashable zip that can be flashed with custom Recovery or Stock Recovery. The OnePlus 6T Android 10 update is around 1.7GB. How to Install OnePlus 6T Android 10 Update (OxygenOS 10)
If you have a custom Recovery on your phone, then directly flash the zip file. Here we will share the guide to install the update with the local upgrade.
Before you begin to upgrade the OS by any method, make sure to take a full backup. Now let’s start the guide.
- At first, download the firmware from the above download link.
- Copy the firmware to your smartphone root directory (outside of every folder).
- Now, head over to the Settings > System > System update.
- Then click on the top right corner icon available in the system update screen.
- Now click on the local upgrade option. It will automatically detect the file.
- Tap on the detected file and select Install Now.
- After installation, The phone will restart automatically.
