Motorola is set to launch a series of next-generation devices, including the Edge 70 Pro. The device has already appeared in several leaks and renders, revealing key details about its design and specifications. Now, Motorola has officially confirmed the launch date of the Edge 70 Pro and shared some of its key features.
Motorola has officially announced that the Edge 70 Pro will launch on April 22 in India. Along with the launch date, Motorola India also shared a 30-second teaser that reveals most of the device’s key specifications. The phone will be officially listed on Flipkart in India.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. The panel will reach up to 5200 nits of peak brightness. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It will also include a vapor chamber cooling system for improved performance during intensive tasks.
Motorola has also confirmed that the Edge 70 Pro will be equipped with three rear cameras, including a 50MP primary Sony Lytia 710 OIS sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP selfie camera.
The phone will boast a big 6500mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging support. Additionally, the device will come with Android 16 out of the box and will receive 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will be available in three colors in India: Pantone Titan, Pantone Tea, and Pantone Lily White. Two of these shades differ from the ones seen in earlier renders. Since color options often vary by region, those two colors may still be released outside India.
Other confirmed specifications include Gorilla Glass 7i protection, IP68 and IP69 ratings, and Hi-Res audio support with Dolby Atmos. Like current-generation devices, it will also feature several AI features.
