Sharing files between Apple and Android devices has always been a challenge due to the lack of a native cross-platform solution. However, last year Google introduced AirDrop support on the Pixel 10, using Quick Share to send or receive files with iPhones and other Apple devices. Samsung followed by bringing the AirDrop support to the Galaxy S26 series last month, and recently, it expanded to more devices.
Samsung has recently enabled AirDrop support on a few more Galaxy devices running the One UI 8.5 Beta. However, the feature is currently limited to beta users and hasn’t been rolled out to the public yet, as the stable One UI 8.5 update is still pending.
In a recent update, Samsung has confirmed that AirDrop support is expanding to additional Galaxy devices running the One UI 8.5 Beta.
- Galaxy S25 series
- Galaxy S24 series
- Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Galaxy Z Flip 7
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
The AirDrop support will expand to more devices soon. However, you’ll need to install the One UI 8.5 beta update to use it. It will soon be available to the public with the stable One UI 8.5 update.
If you have one of these devices and have already updated to the latest One UI 8.5 Beta, you can check the AirDrop availability in Settings > Connected devices > Quick Share. If the Share with Apple Devices toggle is available, this means AirDrop support is now available on your Galaxy device.

Note: There are several Galaxy devices that have received the One UI 8.5 Beta, however, the AirDrop support is only available in the mentioned devices. It’s expected that AirDrop will gradually become available on more devices.
