One UI 6.1.1 Features: List of All Known AI Features

Following tradition, Samsung launched its new foldables in the early phase of the second half of the year at the Unpacked event. Along with the new foldables, the South Korean tech giant also introduced the public to the new One UI 6.1.1 update.

One UI 6.1.1 is packed with many new AI features. Samsung has shared that the One UI 6.1.1 will start rolling out to other Galaxy phones in August. The year 2024 has been focused on AI for Samsung, starting with the Galaxy S24, which came with One UI 6.1. One UI 6.1 was later introduced on other Galaxy phones. However, not every Galaxy phone received AI features. These feature are limited to select Galaxy phones, and the same applies to One UI 6.1.1 features.

One UI 6.1.1 AI Features

Composer

With composer, you can generate a whole email by just providing a relevant prompt. If you don’t like the generated email draft, you can refresh it using the available option. The feature is integrated into the Samsung Keyboard for quick access in different apps. To use it, tap on the Composer option, then type or speak your prompt to get an entire email in a few seconds. You can also use it to draft social media posts by entering prompts.

Voice recorder integrated into Samsung Notes

You can now record voice notes directly in Samsung Notes and can easily transcribe or summarize them for a quick read. Galaxy AI can detect and transcribe up to 10 individual voice from a single voice note. Moving voice note forward or backward will also move the highlighted transcribed text in real time. Having all three features in a single app will make things easier.

Sketch to Image

This is one of the popular AI feature introduced with One UI 6.1.1, and everyone has been talking about it since its launch. As you may have already guessed from its name, the feature can turn your sketch into a real image.

Just sketch a minimal version of your idea, and Sketch to Image will convert your sketch into a wonderful image. No matter how bad you are at art, you can use just draw a rough design, and the feature will generate a relevant real image.

You can use Sketch to Image in Gallery, Samsung Notes, and its own dedicated app. Let’s say you want to add a PC to an existing image: open the image from Gallery, choose sketch to image, then draw a 2D version of a PC, and voila, a real PC will appear in your image. It will generate multiple results, and you can save the one that best matches your imagination.

In Samsung Notes and Sketch to Image app, you can bring your ideas to life. Draw anything and then select Sketch to Image. It will provide various filters like watercolor, illustration, Sketch, Pop art, and 3D cartoon as options. Choose a filter and use the Generation button. You will get multiple variations as a result.

Portrait Studio

This feature is similar to Sketch to Image, and works for portrait photos. It can reimagine your portrait into an attractive artwork. You can choose from different art styles such as sketch, 3D cartoon, watercolor and comic. Portrait Studio will return multiple results so that you can choose the best generated image.

To enjoy this feature, open a image and tap the Galaxy AI icon. Galaxy AI will detect portrait photo, and you will see a Portrait Studio tag in the corner of the image if its eligible for editing. Tap on it, and then choose a filter. At last hit Generate and wait for results to appear.

Reply Suggestions

AI will now provide reply suggestions by analyzing the last seven messages in the conversation. This will save you a lot of effort typing messages, as it suggests relevant replies most of the time. This feature could be more useful for smaller cover screens like the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Live Call Translate coming to third-party apps

The real-time call translation feature will be available on more apps, such as WhatsApp with One UI 6.1.1 update. Samsung also announced this in a press release earlier.

These are the main Galaxy AI features announced with One UI 6.1.1. Their availability will vary by region and device. Samsung mentioned that the One UI 6.1.1 rollout will begin next month, and these Galaxy AI features will be available on select Galaxy devices by the end of this year.
