Apple releases iOS 14.2 Beta 3 and iPadOS 14.2 Beta 3

In the previous iOS 14.2 beta updates Apple made some changes in Music. It now shows full length on the notification and app icon in which you are playing music. Well, some users didn’t have these settings till beta 2 and so they will now get these features in the iOS 14.2 beta 3 update.

There are some small changes in the latest update but you may not notice in normal usage. This is still a beta update and so you will have to deal with some bugs which will be fixed in upcoming updates.

Download and Install iOS 14.2 Beta 3

Apple allows its users to install updates right away using various methods. If your iPhone or iPad is already running on iOS 14.2 Beta 2 or iPadOS 14.2 Beta 2 respectively then you will directly get the update on your device. But in case you are still on the iOS 14 public stable updates then first you have to install beta profiles. You can install either a Developer beta profile or a public beta profile. Both will work as the update is released for developers and public beta testers.

There is another method to install the beta update and that is using iTunes or Finder. But this method requires a computer to install the update. Here we will share the easy method and it will not delete your device data. So let’s start with a guide to install beta profiles on iPhones and iPads.

Install iOS 14.2 Beta Profile and iPadOS 14.2 Beta Profile

  1. Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
  2. Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID.
  3. On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
  4. Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
  5. Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
  6. After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.2 on your iPhone.

After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad.
