Lockscreen – In this beta update you will find a slight change in the Music Playback UI. It looks more anticipated. The album art is big and controls are bigger than what is already available on iOS 14.
Music Player – The next is also related to the Music player. In iOS 14.2 Beta 1, if you click on the AirPlay icon then the UI will be a different one. Also if you long tap on the Music Area in the control center then it will open a bigger Music Playback interface.

Download iOS 14.2 Beta 1 Update
The iOS 14.2 Beta 1 is released for Developers and if you have a Developer Apple account then you can easily update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version. Apple also allows its users to update their Apple devices through Finder and iTunes. And so if you have an iOS 14.2 Beta 1 file then you can easily update your iPhone. But if you have a Developer account then the process is all easy. If you want the new update, then you need to install the beta profile of iOS 14.2 beta 1 and iPadOS 14.2 beta 1 on your iPhone or iPad. Here’s how you can get it on your iPhone or iPad.
Install iOS 14.2 Beta Profile and iPadOS 14.2 Beta Profile
- Go to the Apple Beta Software program site.
- Then scroll down a bit and click on Sign in if you have Apple ID (developer account).
- On the next page, select the correct OS for your devices like iOS 14.2 or iPadOS 14.2.
- Scroll down till Getting Started and click on Enroll your iOS device.
- Now you need to install a profile from the next Page. For this, click on the Download Profile.
- After installing the Profile, reboot your device. And you are ready to install iOS 14.2 on your iPhone.
After installing the beta profile, you can go to Settings > Software Update to install the latest update on your iPhone or iPad.
