OnePlus has started rolling out the Release Candidate build of OxygenOS 16.1 for the OnePlus 15. RC builds are typically the same versions that later roll out to the public, so you can consider this the official OxygenOS 16.1 update for beta testers and users who manually apply for it. It will soon be widely released to the public in the coming days.
OxygenOS 16.1 is the first major update following OxygenOS 16 and brings a number of new features and changes. The update is also expected to expand to other eligible OnePlus devices soon.
The OxygenOS 16.1 update for the OnePlus 15 carries build number CPH2745_16.0.7.201(B40P02) and is around 2.59GB in size. It is currently rolling out to users in India.

Talking about new features, the OxgenOS 16.1 update brings several AI-powered features like AI-powered photos, AI-powered documents, and AI Translate. It also introduces Live Space for notifications and real-time events, smoother animations, a redesigned control center, and much more. At the moment, the full changelog is not available, but the update is expected to include many more improvements and features.
As mentioned earlier, OxygenOS 16.1 for the OnePlus 15 is currently available as an RC build for users who want to get the update before the wider public rollout. You can check for the update by heading to Settings. Since the update is big, it’s recommended to download it over Wi-Fi. Also, make sure to back up your important data before installing the update, just to be safe.
