Android 15 Beta Update is out for Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Motorola is finally taking the software upgrades seriously. The company kick-started the Android 15 beta program last month. Moto Edge 50 Fusion is the company’s first phone to receive the update. Now the company has released the Android 15 beta update for Moto Edge 50 Pro.

Motorola has officially confirmed the beta program for the Edge 50 Pro. The Android 15 beta is part of the Motorola Feedback Network aka MFN. If you own the Edge 50 Pro and want to try out the new features, you can take part in the beta program.

Twitter user, Vinay Singh, received the beta update on his Edge 50 Pro smartphone. The update is seeding with the V1UM35H.5 firmware version and security patch version September 2024. It is the first major software upgrade for the smartphone, being a major upgrade it requires a huge chunk of data for installation.

Unfortunately, the screenshot doesn’t include the changelog. So we will have to wait for more information to know about the new features that come with Android 15 beta.

You can join the Android 15 beta program by visiting this page. If you already joined the MFN program, then you will receive the beta update through a special OTA update. You can manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.

As usual, this is a batch rollout meaning it will roll out to users gradually. Before switching to the beta build, make sure to take backup of important data.
