Motorola kicks off Android 15 Beta rollout for Edge 50 Fusion

Motorola, a brand not typically known for timely Android updates, has begun Android 15 beta testing leaving many brands behind. The Android 15 beta is now available for Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, which is on the eligible list we shared recently. It is the first Motorola phone to receive Android 15 Beta.

With the beta release, Motorola has given a positive signal. We can expect Motorola to release Android 15 update for it devices on time. And if they pull it off, it could bring back users trust that they have lost in recent years.

It’s already mid-October and till now only Vivo managed to release stable Android 15 update. Google plans to release stable Android 15 by October, while Samsung has delayed Android 15 based One UI 7 for Galaxy until 2025.

A Motorola Edge 50 Fusion user in India has reportedly received the Android 15 beta on his phone, shared on X by @Fanboy_Moto. Luckily the source has also shared screenshots that reveals some information about the update.

Android 15 beta for Motorola Edge 50 Fusion

The Android 15 beta for Motorola Edge 50 Fusion comes with build version V1UUI35H.6 and the update weighs around 1.9GB. Unfortunately the screenshot doesn’t include the changelog. So we will have to wait for more information to know about the new features that come with Android 15 beta.

This is a beta update and not a stable release which means not everyone will get this update until the stable release. The Android 15 beta is part of the Motorola Feedback Network aka MFN. So to get the update, you need to join the MFN. You can join the MFN by following the instructions on this page.

Motorola announces testing opportunities to uses on its official forum. And those who have joined the MFN can apply for the beta software testing. But how to keep track of opportunities? Well, there is a dedicated page on forum that lists all the announcements in orders. You can check the latest announcements on this official page.

If you have a Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and joined the beta program, you will receive the Android 15 beta in OTA. As usual, this is a batch rollout meaning it will roll out to users gradually. Before switching to the beta build, make sure to take backup of important data.
