OnePlus kick-started its Android 15 journey in May with the first developer beta’s release for OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open. Later, the company released the second beta in the month of June. The initial beta builds are based on OxygenOS 14, however, last month, the company began testing its next skin, OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15.

When will your OnePlus receive Android 15 Update?
Usually, Google launches its new Pixel phones with the latest version of Android. This year, Google surprisingly launched the Pixel 9 lineup in August and these phones run on Android 14 OS out-of-the-box. The recent information shared by Android Authority, revealed that the Android 15 update will be released for Pixel 9 phones in mid-October; while the source code is expected to be released this week.
With the public release of Android 15 delayed beyond the usual timeframe, a similar delay can be expected for other OEMs as well. Last year, Google released the Android 14 on October 4, while, OnePlus unveiled its newest skin on September 23.

OnePlus promises four years of OS updates and five yearly of security updates for its flagship phones. OnePlus 11 and newer models are eligible for four OS updates. While the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 10 will receive three OS updates. If you own a Nord series device, then your phone will receive two major software upgrades.
