Will Samsung Release One UI 7 Beta For Other Galaxy Devices?

2025 is going to be a big year for Samsung. While Samsung is gearing up to reveal the flagship line Galaxy S25 series, there’s also One UI 7 for Samsung to work on and launch with the Galaxy S25 series. Currently, Samsung’s One UI 7 beta based on Android is available only to the Galaxy S24 family of devices: the Base, Plus, and Ultra models.

While the clock is ticking for Samsung to launch One UI 7 as a stable update, thousands of users of various Samsung Galaxy devices running from 2023’s flagships to 2024’s Tab and Z series have been wondering when their devices will get the One UI 7 beta update.

Let’s examine what has happened and whether the other older Samsung Galaxy devices will be getting One UI 7 beta.

Will Older Galaxy Devices Get One UI 7 Beta?

The problem began when Samsung launched the One UI 7 Beta. Instead of the usual August-October months that Samsung has always followed, this time the beta for One UI 7 was released during the first week of December. And, the only device to get this beta was the Galaxy S24 family.

While there was enough time for Samsung to kick-start the beta program for other Galaxy devices such as the S23 series, and the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 6, it looks like Samsung has decided to avoid going with any more public beta testing. One of the reasons could be that Samsung is running out of time as they need to prepare the stable version of One UI 7 for the Galaxy 25 series, and it could also be possible that the staff is on leave or vacation for the festivities as well as the new year.

Several rumors have also claimed that Samsung will immediately release the stable version of One UI 7 to all eligible Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

As someone who is running the One UI 7 beta on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the beta versions are quite smooth considering this is just the second beta that has been released.

Internal Testing and Stable Release of One UI 7

Now, just because there is no public beta for other Samsung devices, that doesn’t mean Samsung has forgotten about those devices. Samsung has been internally testing the One UI 7 based on Android 15 for a good number of devices. Here are the devices that have been undergoing internal One UI 7 beta.

Speaking of internal testing. Samsung has also been testing One UI 7.1 for the Galaxy S25 series. So yes, a mid-year One UI update is also expected for a lot of the devices that will be on One UI 7.

The stable release for One UI 7 should be around February this year. You can expect it to be released when the S25 series officially goes on sale globally. If you were wondering what devices from Samsung are eligible for the update, you can check out this list, which shows you the devices list as well as a few interesting features from One UI 7.

Closing Thoughts

Well, you have your answer now. Samsung will be directly releasing the stable update to One UI 7 for all of its eligible devices starting in the mid of February. Do not expect any beta announcements to One UI 7 for any other devices out there. Also, try not to download or install a file that claims to give you One UI 7 beta for your device. With a little time and patience, you will directly get the One UI 7 stable update.
