Samsung is yet to release the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update for its device. According to rumors, the South Korean tech giant might roll out the stable update by the end of January 2025 or early February 2025. Samsung has already started public beta testing, which is currently available for Galaxy S24 series.
Not all Samsung devices will get One UI 7 update, only the eligible models will receive this latest major update based on Android 15. While it’s obvious that high-end and newer phones will be prioritized, what about entry-level phones? Will Samsung release One UI 7 for Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A15? Let’s find out.
The Galaxy A15 is available in LTE and 5G variants and both were launched late 2023 with Android 14-based One UI 6. The phone is eligible for four OS upgrades. So officially, the Galaxy A15 is eligible for One UI 7, which will be the first major update for the device. The phone will get updates up to Android 18.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A14 was released in early 2023 with Android 13-based One UI 5. Since the Galaxy A14 is officially eligible for two OS upgrades, it will also receive Android 15-based One UI 7 update. This will be the last major update for the phone.
While both the Galaxy A14 and Galaxy A15 are eligible for One UI 7 update, they will not receive the One UI 7 beta. Samsung will test the One UI 7 build for both models internally and will only release the stable build to the public.
If we talk about Galaxy A13 then it is not eligible for the Android 15 update.
Samsung has revealed that One UI 7 will be one of the biggest upgrades in the history of One UI, which means you can expect several changes and new feature in the upcoming update. Some of the notable features of One UI 7 include split view for quick settings and notifications, NowBar, improved animations, new stock app icons, and much more. Check the expected details. However, don’t expect AI features on entry level phones.
Now as to when you can expect the update, the Galaxy A15 may get the update by the end of February, but this is not official, so expect some differences. Naturally, the Galaxy A14 will get the update soon after the Galaxy A15 gets it.
Make sure to keep your phone ready for the update by taking backup of your phone, upgrading it to the latest One UI 6 update, and free up enough storage. I hope the One UI 7 come out to be worth the wait.
