Samsung is working on one of its biggest One UI updates yet, One UI 7, based on Android 15. While the stable update is yet to be released, the beta version is available for the Galaxy S24 series and will soon expand to more devices.
While the last three flagship series are expected to receive One UI 7, what about two popular mid-range phones, Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A54? Today, we’ll talk about whether the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A54 will get the One UI 7 update.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 is the latest phone in the A5x lineup, launched in 2024. The phone was launched with Android 14-based One UI 6. The Galaxy A55 will receive One UI 7 as its first major update, which is expected to be available soon after the Galaxy S23 and S22 series. So it could either be in February or March.
Coming to the Galaxy A54, the device was launched in 2023 with Android 13-based One UI 5. Yes, the Galaxy A54 will also receive the One UI 7 update at the same time as the Galaxy A55. One UI 7 will be the second major update for the device.
Along with the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A54, the Galaxy A53 is also confirmed to get the Android 15-based One UI 7 update.
How we know it’s confirmed? Well, the One UI 7 internal test build for these three models was spotted on Samsung servers about a month ago.
Will the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A54 get One UI 7 Beta? Yes, both phones are expected to get One UI 7 beta, given that the A series phones received the beta updates earlier as well. While the Galaxy A53 might not be in the party, which means it will directly get the stable build.
Samsung has delayed the release of One UI 7 by more than two months, but considering that One UI 7 will be one of the biggest updates in history, the wait might be worth it. If you are from South Korea, India, Poland, Germany, the UK, or the USA, you can get the beta update when it is released. Others will have to wait for the stable update.
