Samsung kicks off One UI 2.5 Update for Galaxy M51 and Galaxy A31

Samsung has been working diligently to provide new updates to its users, for some time now. Last month, Samsung released the One UI 2.5 update for series of Galaxy A-series and M-series smartphones. Now the company has started pushing the newer patch to the Galaxy A31 and Galaxy M51. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy A31 and Samsung Galaxy M51 One UI 2.5 Update.

Samsung is rolling out the One UI 2.5 Update on the Galaxy A31 with A315NKSU1BTK2 and on Galaxy M51 with M515FXXU1BTK4 build number. The new update also comes with a bunch of new features, enhancements, and newer security patch. Obviously, the newer One UI 2.5 update is based on Android 10. As it is an incremental update you can expect the update to be less in size near around 1GB.

The newer One UI 2.5 based update comes with features like Split Keyboard support for Landscape mode, new SOS location-sharing feature for Messages app, Improvements to the default camera app, and a few other features. It is rolling over-the-air with November monthly security patch.

The new firmware on Galaxy A31 and M51 is rolling in different batches, which might take some time to reach every unit. I recommend you to check the updates manually in the system settings.

To manually check for updates simply go to Settings on your Galaxy A31 and M51. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.

If you’re in a haste, then you update your device manually, using Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the file to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you to take a backup prior, before diving in to the process. That’s it.
