Following last month’s leak of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 CAD renders, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 CAD renders have now surfaced as well. The newly leaked CAD renders offer a first look at the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8.
The first look at the Galaxy Z Flip 8 renders, along with leaked dimensions, suggests it will be slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to the source, the Flip 8 is expected to measure 166.8 x 75.4 x 6.6 mm when unfolded and 85.4 x 75.4 x 13.2 mm when folded.
For comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 measured 166.7 x 75.2 x 6.5 mm when unfolded and 85.5 x 75.2 x 13.7 mm when folded.
Coming to the design, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to retain a look similar to its predecessor. This means the cameras, keys, ports, and overall layout remain unchanged from last year’s clamshell. In my opinion, this is a sensible move, as the design is already well-refined and the focus is required more on improving the internals.

The device is expected to feature a 6.9-inch inner display and a 4.1-inch outer display. Since the overall design and display sizes remain similar, the slightly thicker profile could indicate a larger battery. However, there’s no confirmation on the battery specs yet, even through leaks.
While the early CAD renders, especially those from OnLeaks, are generally accurate, there may be some minor differences in details such as the fine bezel thickness and antenna lines compared to the official renders.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 8 alongside the standard Fold 8 and Fold 8 Wide at the upcoming Unpacked event, which is anticipated to take place in July.
