Microsoft announced the Surface Ultra at Computex 2026, which is its most powerful Surface laptop to date, with availability expected later this fall. At the heart of the device is the recently announced Nvidia RTX Spark SoC, paired with up to 20 ARM CPU cores, up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified RAM, and a Blackwell GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores.
Talking about the other specs, the Surface Ultra has 2.5x larger thermal headroom compared to Surface Laptop 7 (15), Windows Hello face recognition, replaceable SSD, and a 15-inch MiniLED Ultra screen with 2,000 nits of peak brightness, and more. To complement the laptop’s premium identity, Microsoft has bundled the Surface Ultra with a sleek, dark abstract wallpaper. The good news is that the wallpaper is now available for download right here.
