Following Google, Samsung has finally introduced AirDrop support to its devices, powered by Quick Share that allows users to share and receive files with Apple devices. The feature is currently rolling out in Korea for the Galaxy S26 devices and is expected to expand next to regions including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.
The AirDrop-like capability will expand to more regions and additional Galaxy devices over time. This is a major step forward, as it addresses one of the biggest pain points for users who rely on a mix of different ecosystems.
The AirDrop-like feature is being rolled out to Galaxy devices via a software update and is turned off by default. Since this is the first phase of the rollout, many users may not be familiar with how to enable it or use it on their Galaxy devices. So, we’ve put together a quick guide you can follow.
