Earlier this month, Samsung rolled out the first One UI 8.5 beta for a number of Galaxy devices. Now, the company has released the second beta for some of these models, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy A55, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A35.
For the Galaxy S23 series, the update is currently available in India and Korea, while for the other models, it is rolling out in India. The second One UI 8.5 beta update is expected to expand to more eligible regions soon.
The One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S23 series comes with build version ZZDP and is around 800MB in size. For the Galaxy A36, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A35, the respective build versions are ZZD7, ZZDC, and ZZD9.
As expected from an incremental beta update, the One UI 8.5 Beta 2 update for these devices primarily focuses on bug fixes and improvements. Here are the update changelogs for each device or series.


One UI 8.5 Beta 2 for Galaxy S23
- Improved incoming screen late or black screen when a call is received in certain states
- Improved proximity release behavior error during call
- Improved issues with green lines when recording videos in 4K HDR on certain app cameras
- Improved Bluetooth Crash
- Improved multi-touch malfunction after increased accessibility
One UI 8.5 Beta 2 for Galaxy A36
- Fixed an issue that Bluetooth Autoscan did not work when entering Bluetooth
- Improved the Sluggish/Delay when lowering the Quick Panel
- Fixed an issue that overlaps the message input window with the navigation bar
- Fixed System UI AN issues after FOTA
One UI 8.5 Beta 2 for Galaxy A55
- Fixed an issue that Bluetooth Autoscan did not work when entering Bluetooth
- Improved the Sluggish/Delay when lowering the Quick Panel
- Fixed the issue that the FUN mode lens and preview screen do not match
- Fixed an issue where the name change was not saved after editing the name of a newly created filter in Macro > Filter
- Fixed an issue where the filter menu was briefly activated when switching to the rear 50MP camera with the front filter set
One UI 8.5 Beta 2 for Galaxy A35
- Fixed an issue that Bluetooth Autoscan did not work when entering Bluetooth
- Improved the Sluggish/Delay when lowering the Quick Panel
- Fixed an issue that overlaps the message input window with the navigation bar
- Fixed System UI ANR issues after FOTA
If you own a Galaxy S23 device, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A55, or Galaxy A35 and have registered for the One UI 8.5 beta, the second beta will be available on your device through OTA update. You can check for the update in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
Before installing the update, make sure that you back up important data and install the update in a normal or lower temperature environment, as there is always a risk of encountering green line issues.
