Nowadays, Motorola is working on releasing the stable Android 16 update for older phones. The company has recently released the update for Edge 40 Pro, G35, and G85. Now, they have extended the Android 16 rollout to the Motorola Edge+ 2023. At the moment, the update is available to a small number of users, with a broader rollout to commence very soon.
Motorola Edge+ 2023 was launched in May 2023 with the Android 13 operating system. The phone has already received two major OS upgrades and is now ready for its last Android upgrade.
Reddit user JBH68 from Canada is reportedly receiving the Android 16 update on the Telus Mobility network. The user has shared the changelog screenshot, which reveals the W1TR36H.56-13 software version number and download size of near about 2.3GB.

Talking about other features and changes, we can expect support for Android 16 features like Live updates, Desktop Window, Group notifications, New Emojis, Embedded Photo Picker, APV codec support, Predictive Back upgrades, HDR screenshots, Advanced Protection Mode, and more.
Now, if you own the Edge+ 2023 and live in Canada, you can upgrade your device to Android 16. To do so, navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and tap “Check for updates”. Please take a backup before updating your phone and charge it to at least 50%.
