Two months back, Motorola kick-started the beta testing of Android 16 on the three-year-old Edge 40 Pro. Now, the company has started rolling out the stable Android 16 update for Moto Edge 40 Pro with a big list of new features and optimizations. For the time being, the update is available to a very small number of users; with a broader rollout should commence soon.
Motorola is rolling out the stable Android 16 build to Edge 40 Pro with W1TR36H.56-13 build number. It is the third major software upgrade for the smartphone, and so it requires a huge chunk of data for downloading. Please ensure you have enough space on your device.
Reddit user Mauripro998S has received the update and shared the changelog screenshot. As per the details shared by some users, the update weighs more than 2GB in size. At the moment, the rollout is live in the Latin America region. We can expect a global rollout in the coming days.

Talking about other features and changes, we can expect support for Android 16 features like Live updates, Desktop Window, Group notifications, New Emojis, Embedded Photo Picker, APV codec support, Predictive Back upgrades, HDR screenshots, Advanced Protection Mode, and more.
