Motorola continues to progress with its Android 16 rollout, having recently released the update for the Moto G85. Now, the company has started rolling out the stable Android 16 update for Moto G35. Needless to say, the update bags a slew of new features, enhancements, and fixes.
Motorola plants the Android 16 update on the Moto G35 5G with WUOA36.66-36 software version. The update is currently in its initial rollout phase and will be available to everyone in the coming days. Some Moto G35 owners have already begun receiving the update, with one Reddit user (Salva2r83) reportedly getting it ahead of the broader rollout and sharing the full changelog.

Moto G35 5G was launched with the Android 14 operating system. Last year, the phone received its first major OS upgrade – the Android 15 update. Now, the smartphone is getting its second and most probably final major software upgrade. It comes with a bunch of new features, enhancements, and fixes.
Moving to the features and changes, we can expect support for Android 16 features like Live updates, Desktop Window, Group notifications, New Emojis, Embedded Photo Picker, APV codec support, Predictive Back upgrades, HDR screenshots, Advanced Protection Mode, and more.
If you own the Moto G35, you can upgrade your device to Android 16. To do so, navigate to Settings > System > Advanced > System updates and tap “Check for updates”. Please take a backup before updating your phone and charge it to at least 50%.
