After downloading the GCam mod, make sure to apply the recommended settings on your smartphone. It will make the app better and smoother.

  1. Download Config Settings, which save the recommended settings.
  2. Once downloaded, you can extract it using ES file explorer on the root storage.
  3. Create a new folder named GCam in the root folder and then open GCam folder and make a Configs folder.
  4. Then, copy the config (Redmi7Setting.xml) file in /Internal Storage/GCam/Configs/ (folder).
  5. Open Google Camera and double tap on the black blank area placed next to the shutter button.
  6. Tap on the settings shown (with Redmi7Setting.xml), available in the popup & press the restore button.
  7. Go back to the app drawer and then open the app again.

  1. At first, download the GCam Mod from the above link.
  2. Once downloaded, Install the Google Camera apk on your Redmi 8, Redmi 7, & Redmi 6 (Pro).Google Camera APK

Note: Before Installing the new Gcam Mod ported app, make sure to delete the older version (if youโ€™ve installed). This is not a stable version of Google Camera, so it may have some bugs.
