Nothing has officially introduced Nothing OS 4.1, its latest skin featuring a host of new capabilities, performance improvements, and fixes. The update was unveiled alongside the company’s newest mid-rangers – the Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro.
Nothing OS 4.1 may not be a landmark update, but it’s heading to most Nothing phones in a phased rollout over the next few months. If you own a Nothing or CMF smartphone and want to know whether your phone will receive the update or not, you’ve landed on the right place.
Nothing’s newest skin debuts with Android 16’s Live updates support, Relaxation Hub, better Essential Apps functionality, depth effect support for lock screen, AI features for Nothing Gallery, and more. Apart from these new additions, the update enhances the overall user experience.
Nothing OS 4.1 Eligible Devices
Nothing Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro come with Nothing OS 4.1 out of the box. The company is expected to release the update to older phones. The best part is that a big list of phones is eligible for the newest skin. Nothing has yet to announce an official release date, though the update is expected to reach compatible devices by the end of April.

The Nothing Phone 3, the company’s current flagship, is expected to receive the update this month, followed by the Nothing Phone 3a series and other supported devices.
You can prepare your device for the Nothing OS 4.1 update by making 4-5GB of free space. Also, take a backup of important data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
