When you wake your phone or turn on the screen, the first noticeable thing as a user is the animation or screen-on effect. After months or even years of seeing the same animation repeatedly, it can become boring, and it’s natural that you’d want to change the animation effect frequently.
Did you know that you can change the screen-on animation effect on a Samsung Phone? If you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you can easily change the lock screen animation using an official module.
Samsung Galaxy phones are well known for their customization options, all thanks to Good Lock, an official customization tool. However, many users are not aware of its capabilities. Using a Good Lock module, you can also customize the lock screen animation on your Galaxy phone.
Install Good Lock and Wonderland
To change the lock screen animation effect on your Galaxy phone, youโll need to install the Good Lock app. You can either download it from the Galaxy Store or search for it on Google and redirect to the official store.
If the Good Lock app isnโt available in your region, you can use alternatives like Nice Lock. With the One UI 7, the Good Lock will be available in all the regions.
Once youโve installed Good Lock on your phone, open it. Look for the Wonderland module and tap on the download icon next to it. This will redirect you to the Galaxy Store, where you can install the Wonderlock module.
Change Screen Wake Animation on Samsung
Once the Good Lock and Wonderland are installed, you can choose your preferred animation. Follow these steps to select your preferred animation:
- Open Good Lock and then open Wonderland. Now choose “Create your different lockscreen effect.”
- Here you can either select pre-made wallpaper or tap on + to choose a wallpaper from Gallery.
- Now, click on the Image icon, then select Gallery. Choose a wallpaper from storage or tap on another icon to download wallpapers online.
- Once you choose the wallpaper, tap on the animation icon which will open Configuration preset.
- Here, youโll have an option to choose from a variety of screen wake animations. Select the one you prefer. I like the flip animation.
- The next option will let you change speed, tile size, and direction.
- Once all done, tap on the Download icon and then select Set as wallpaper. You can set it for Lock screen and Home screen.
The screen-on animation includes various effects such as pixelate, ripple, sphere, warp, edge, blur, hexagon, slice, flip, slide, and fluid. Developers can add even more effects in the future.
Now that everything is set, you can go ahead and test the new animation. Turn off the display and then press the power button to wake the device and you will see the new animation effect. This is just one aspect of lock screen customization; there are many other options, including the clock, widgets, and more.
